It combines insights from psychology, sociology, economics, and nutrition to understand how factors like culture, social norms, marketing, health awareness, and environmental concerns influence food choices. This field also examines consumer responses to new food technologies, sustainability initiatives, and trends like organic, plant-based, or functional foods.
